Lisa was headed off to Northwestern Sate University for her first semester as a sophomore.  She had worked very hard to get accepted to NSU and through most of her senior year was duel enrolled just to get a head.  She was the first to go away, and her mom Jessica had sacrificed many years by working two jobs in order to save the money needed for her daughter's tuition. She was very proud of Lisa.

After kissing her mom goodbye and giving her a big hug, she was off to college. By 8:30 pm the group was half way into the beers and started to get hungry.  Lisa was the only one with a car, but did not feel she could drive.  Mike quickly volunteered and within minutes they were headed to a local burger joint.

At 3:13 am Jessica, Lisa’s mom arrived at the hospital. She was greeted by Officer Jones. Mrs. Green, I’m sorry to inform you that your daughter Lisa lost her life in a car accident last evening at 8:42 pm.  Her friend Mike was driving under the influence of alcohol and ran a red light.  The vehicle was broadsided by a semi-truck.
